Roland and Lena Armstrong would later occupy the original Davison family house on the north side of M-59. Here Roland died on November 2, 1975. Lena continued to live in the home until 1980, when it was condemned and torn down to make way for the widening of M-59. She thereafter moved back to the former tenant house where she and her husband had first lived and resided there until her own death on January 9, 2001, at 100 years of age. This photograph shows the original Davison house as it looked shortly before its demolition.
