William Wakeman, the father of Lena (Wakeman) Armstrong, owned a hardware and farm implement store in Hartland, Livingston County. He is seen here with his grandson, Howard Armstrong, in the spring of 1926, using a new McCormick-Deering Farmall tractor to pull a 14" double-bottom plow.
