Sarah H. (Reed) Hagadorn died on June 23, 1879 [Note 1]. Soon after Joseph V. Hagadorn married a fourth and final time to Sabrina Lockwood whose portrait appears below. Born January 2, 1848, she was the daughter of Alonzo and Mary (Hanchett) Lockwood of Rensselaer County, New York, who settled in Highland circa 1850. By this marriage Joseph V. Hagadorn had two more daughters: (i) Maude M. Hagadorn, born August 1, 1880, and (ii) Elsie M. Hagadorn, born May 25, 1884.
[1] - Note that the Michigan Department of Community Health Genealogical Death Indexing System (GENDIS) claims Sarah H. (Reed) Hagadorn died June 22, 1879, at age 34 years, 3 months and 9 days. The same source, however, mistakenly gives her maiden name as "Breed," such that the accuracy of the GENDIS data is open to question. A review of the original death certificate would presumably resolve the issue.
