J. C. Leonard, the elder son of Mark J. and Bertha (Davison) Leonard, is seen in this photo (at left), together with his friend Charles E. Needham (in middle) and brother B. Franklin Leonard (at right). J. C. Leonard married September 14, 1921, Ila Amelia Cole, born 1899, the daughter of Myron E. and Louella (Demode) Cole. Just a few months after the marriage, however, J. C. died of pneumonia on December 24, 1921.
