Robert Grant Rowe married July 10, 1933, at Brighton, Michigan, Myrtle (Finningsdorf) Strick. She was born at Highland Township in 1905, the daughter of William J. and Grace M. (Barker) Finningsdorf. When his parents retired from the Milford Times in 1935, he and his wife assumed control, publishing the paper until 1948. Robert Grant Rowe died at Detroit on January 20, 1950, at only 45 years of age. His widow died at Grand Rapids on September 27, 1999.
