Although born and raised a farmer, Howard Armstrong is perhaps best known today in connection with the Armstrong Millworks; the specialty wood milling business he founded with his father in 1948. For more on the company's history see the Armstrong Millworks Photo Tour. Now retired, Howard and his wife, Thelma (Burley) Armstrong, continue to play active and vital roles as members of the West Highland Baptist Church and Highland Township Historical Society.
