Maud E. Needham (on left), the second child of William and Mary Ann (Warriner) Needham, married February 14, 1905, William Dow Lockwood, born February, 1885, in Abiline, Kansas, the son of Ezra and Clara A. (Buck) Lockwood. The couple had three children before Maud died in 1925: (i) Needham Lockwood, born October 17, 1907; (ii) Milton Eugene Lockwood, born February 11, 1913; and (iii) Doris Jean Lockwood (on right), born March 23, 1916. Doris Jean married Gordon Sawyers and was a well-loved physical education teacher at Highland Junior High School before her death in 1960.
