BACK TO THE FAMILY PHOTO ALBUM PAGE Lorenzo D. Ruggles was active in civic affairs, serving as clerk, treasurer and school inspector for Highland Township, and as a justice of the peace in Milford Township. Toward the end of his life he purchased and moved into a home on Milford Road in Highland Station. Here he died on June 19, 1904. His widow Lydia (Cary) Ruggles, seen in the photo below, survived him some nine years; dying on September 22, 1913. Both are buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Milford. |
