Bert J. Wardlow built this house on the 80 acres south of Wardlow road where he and Maude lived with their two sons: (i) Harold Wardlow, born July 21, 1901, and (ii) James Phillip Wardlow, born in 1909. Maude's mother, Sabrina (Lockwood) Hagadorn, also lived here briefly following her husband's death in 1906 until her own death in 1911.
