Original Highland Township Landowner Theron L. Alling This man is likely the Theron L. Alling, son of Joseph and Mary Alling, who married circa 1828 Emeline Gleason and removed to Chautauqua County, New York, where he was a physician, See: George P. Allen, A History and Genealogical Record of the Alling-Allens (1899), p. 279. There is no evidence he ever settled on his purchase in Highland Township.
