Original Highland Township Landowner Royal Baker Royal Baker was born December 19, 1801, in Vermont, the son of the Rev. Thomas and Jerusha (Waldo) Baker. He died April 10, 1853, at Highland Township, Oakland County, Michigan, at age 52 years, 3 months, 22 days. A shoemaker by trade, he married first, March 14, 1824, Lorane Cronover, and married second, February 8, 1831, Sarah Shaw, who died August 16, 1854, at age 48 years, 6 months, 9 days. |
