Original Highland Township Landowner Henry H. Bush SW 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 13 Henry H. Bush was born circa 1818 and died February 8, 1875, at age 56 years, 7 months, 2 days. He is likely the son of the Henry Bush who appears on the 1840 Census for Highland Township. Henry H. Bush himself appears on the 1850 Census for Highland with his first wife Eunice and their three children. In the fall of 1870 Henry H. Bush built the "Highland Centre House;" a hotel on the southwest corner of Livingston and Milford Roads. He continued as its proprietor until 1875 when he sold it to Patrick Kelly. The building still stands to this day (2009). |
