Original Highland Township Landowner John C. Hopkins Little is known about this man beyond his name and the fact his patent gives his residence as Oakland County, Michigan. Note that his purchase also included the W 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of Section 31 in Rose Township, Oakland County, Michigan. He may be related in some fashion to Mark A. Hopkins who purchased land in Section 11 in 1836. |
