Original Highland Township Landowner Stephen A. Lockwood E 1/2 of SE 1/4 of Section 7 NW 1/4 of SE 1/4 of Section 7 Stephen A. Lockwood was born circa 1815 in New York and died March 10, 1882, at Clinton County, Michigan. He was married to Catherine "Katie" Coonradt. He is thought to be the son of Major and Martha (Wheeler) Lockwood of Parma, Monroe County, New York. The patent issued to him on May 5, 1836, included not only the land in Highland, but the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 31, Rose Township, Oakland County. |
