Original purchases have been superimposed over a modern map of this section. Note that all parcel boundaries are approximate. Click within each parcel for more information about its purchaser. Note that patent No. 22752 issued to Silas Leonard grants him the "North West Quarter of the South West Quarter" of Section 15, but that parcel was included in the patent previously issued to his nephew, Harvey Leonard. Since the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 is not otherwise described in any of the patents for this section, we assume this was the parcel Silas Leonard actually purchased. Note also Harvey Lake at the south of this section, named for Harvey Leonard who purchased land along both its north and south shores.
