1/4 of Section 9 Little is known about this man beyond his name and the fact his patent gives his residence as Oakland County, Michigan. He is likely the Andrew Sorley who married Rebecca Parshal (Parshall) in Oakland County on January 12, 1846. First Land Owners of Oakland County notes that the date of his purchase in Section 3 is given as June 31, 1838 - an obvious error. Note also that his purchase on October 26, 1836, included both the 40 acres in Section 9 and the 120 acres in Section 10. |
