Original Highland Township Landowner Henry L. Teeples SE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 36 Henry Luke Teeples was born February 27, 1807, in Monroe County, New York, the son of Jacob and Herodias a/k/a Rhoda (Bentley) Teeples. He made his purchase in Section 36 of Highland Township just a few days prior to that of his brother, Jacob Teeples, Jr., but whether he actually settled on the parcel is unclear. He reportedly died in 1843. |
