Founded in 1944, Questers International is an educational organization devoted to the study of antiques and the preservation of historical landmarks. Thanks to the Pettibone Creek Questers Chapter No. 777, the story of Spring Mills and its mills is now told in the handsome historic marker seen in the upper photo. Located on the grounds of the Highland Township Public Library, this marker was presented to the community at a ceremony held on June 9, 2009. Among those attending was Roger Maugh, grandson of grist mill owner John Maugh, who is shown in the lower photo holding the "toll box" mentioned in the marker's text.
