The Highland House was on the north side of East Livingston Road, across the street from the depot and elevator. It served as both a hotel for railroad travelers and a boarding house for longer-term residents such as school teachers, traveling salesmen, road crews, etc. This is a view of the Highland House looking northwest from the railroad crossing at East Livingston Road.
