Henry Walter Marshall was born in Ontario, Canada, on May 14, 1888. In 1913 he married Grace Miller - seen in the lower photo - and became active in livestock marketing. In the 1920's he was in charge of the stockyard in Highland. By the 1930's he was managing stockyards in Detroit. He and Grace had two daughters, Esther and Ruth.
