Dr. and Mrs. Eugene H. Beach had one son, Eugene Huff Beach, Jr., born in 1953. He attended the University of Michigan (B.A., 1975; J.D., 1978), after which he practiced law in Southfield for many years, specializing in the defense of product liability cases. In 1978 Eugene and his uncle, U. Sidney Beach, purchased "Maple Grove" from the estate of its former owner, thereby bringing the property back into the family after an hiatus of 68 years. In May, 1980, Eugene married Lori Ann Woolman of Grand Blanc, Michigan, and took up residence in the renovated ancestral home. The couple's three children - Joshua, Erin and Ashley - are the fifth generation of the family to have occupied the 1891 house and the sixth to have lived on the property.
