Benjamin Franklin Davison married May 16, 1849, Huldah N. Gue, daughter of Solomon and Joanna (Lewis) Gue. Her portrait is in the upper left of the 1877 engraving on a previous page. The couple had four children: (i) Jane Ann Davison, born November 30, 1853; married William Gonne; (ii) Flora Ella Davison, born February 1, 1856; died October 16, 1871, of typhoid pneumonia; (iii) Norman Clark Davison, born August 2, 1858; and (iv) Benjamin Franklin "Frankie" Davison, Jr., born January 16, 1862; died November 20, 1873. Following the death of Huldah (Gue) Davison in 1866, Benjamin Franklin Davison married second, January 1, 1867, Sarah Sophia Wells, daughter of Philip and Sophia (Fuller) Wells of Milford, Michigan. Two daughters were born of this second marriage: (v) Bertha Davison, born October 5, 1869, and (vi) Margaret Sophia Davison, born August 23, 1871. This photo shows members of the family gathered in front of the home circa 1900. Benjamin Franklin Davison is seated in the center with his wife Sarah to his left. Seated at the far left is Benjamin's sister, Marietta Davison, born February 20, 1827. She was blind and lived with her brother until her death in 1904.
