Louise Ernstena (Schramm) Huff became blind and disabled late in life and so lived at the home of her daughter, Clara (Huff) Jones, where she died on December 12, 1919. Her obituary noted that "Hers was a strong character. She possessed physical and mental strength and spiritual discernment above the average." The photo below, taken circa 1904, shows her with her granddaughter, Louise Helen Beach, who was named in her honor.
