Other reunions of the family were more festive. This photo, taken circa 1938 at Dodge 10 State Park, shows (left to right): Arthur Kunkel and his wife Alice, Otto and Myrtle (Darlington) Kunkel, Steven and Ernestena (Kunkel) Newton, Adeline (Carter) Kunkel (widow of Martin), Lena (Kunkel) Schwenson, Blanche (St. John) and William Kunkel, Jessie (Sheriff) and Amos Kunkel, and Emma (Kunkel) Harris. Members of the family have also attended the periodic reunions of their Huff cousins.
