Joseph M. Wardlow, the only son of James and Elizabeth (McGhee) Wardlow, married April 23, 1866, Mary Jane Magill, daughter of David and Jane (Short) Magill; Irish immigrants who had settled in Commerce Township. Joseph and Mary Jane are seen here later in life. Mary Jane (Magill) Wardlow died on January 17, 1915, while Joseph M. Wardlow died April 11, 1920.
