James and Elizabeth (McGhee) Wardlow were the parents of four children, i.e. (i) Elizabeth Wardlow, born July 9, 1933, at New York City; (ii) Jane Wardlow; (iii) Joseph M. Wardlow, born October 7, 1838; and (iv) Mary Ann Wardlow, born June 3, 1841. Daughter Jane is thought to have died young. The photo below shows (left to right) the remaining three children: Mary Ann, Joseph and Elizabeth. Mary Ann Wardlow married Andrew Coulter, while Elizabeth Wardlow married Jason Leonard.
