Sunday school classes were organized at the church in 1870, with Charles Lockwood serving as the first Sunday school superintendent.  By 1877 the Sunday school membership had grown to sixty, served by a church library with 100 volumes.   The photo below, taken in the 1920's, shows a number of young people gathered on the church's wide front steps, looking north across Clyde Road.  Pictured are: Virginia _____, Freda Charlick, Marguerite Leonard, Sarah ____, Doris ____, Ruth McRobbie and her sister Margaret, standing behind her, Julia Laurain, and Emma Baehr on the end.  The boys are Scott Mills, Harry Judson, Wilber Lockwood, Colon Charlick, Fred Baehr, Don Mills, and Paul Charlick.
