Edith Emma Huff was born November 18, 1878, in the Province of Posen, Germany; now part of Poland. She was the daughter of Friedrich Wilhelm and Louise Ernestena (Schramm) Huff who emigrated from Germany in 1891, settling at Spring Mills, Highland Township.
