E 1/2 of SE 1/4 of Section 20         SW 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section 28        NE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 29

Asa Adams was born in October, 1779, the son of Darius and Mary (White) Adams.  He married Polly Warner of Massachusetts, who was born April 28, 1779.  The couple initially settled in Sharon, Schoharie County, New York.  Around 1802, however, they removed to Gorham (now Hopewell), Ontario County, New York, where the first five of their children were born.   Circa 1816 the family moved yet again, settling in Parma, Monroe County, New York.   In the early 1830's several members of the family came to Michigan.  Asa and two sons - Eber Adams and Madison Adams - were all original landowners in Highland Township, Oakland County, but only Eber Adams appears to have actually settled here.  Asa Adams himself eventually moved to Farmington, Oakland County, Michigan, where he died on April 16, 1840.  His wife, Polly (Warner) Adams, likewise died at Farmington on September 18, 1861.
