Original Highland Township Landowner Nehemiah Lovejoy SE 1/4 of SW 1/4 of Section 12 This man is likely the Nehemiah Lovejoy born April 17, 1809, the son of Nehemiah, Sr. and second wife Sarah (Marshall) Lovejoy of Sharon, Vermont. Their son, Nehemiah, Jr., is said to have died in Michigan from consumption circa 1850. Note the Nathan Lovejoy, age 26, who appears on the 1850 Census for Highland Township and may be Nehemiah's son. |
