This photo shows the blacksmith shop that stood on the northwest corner of M-59 and Hickory Ridge Roads.  The 1872 Atlas Of Oakland County, Michigan, shows it as being run by C. L. Mills at that time.  Frank Williams later turned the building into a garage which was owned by Clifford and Viola (Boring) Floury.  Note the "Tire Repairing" sign under the small window.  The building was torn down in 1936 when old Livingston Road was widened and paved to become M-59.
