When Davis Beach sold Maple Grove around 1910, Ulysses and Edith (Huff) Beach purchased their own farm on the south side of Spring Mills Road (now M-59), just east of the railroad tracks. The photo below shows the family's home as it appeared in the mid-1930's, looking south from M-59. The two story portion was reportedly built in 1846, while the one story portion on the left was a former wagon shop that was moved from Spring Mills and attached to the original home in the late 1800's.
