On July 28, 1928, the Pontiac Daily Press published this article on the forgotten village of Spring Mills. Seen in the upper left is the home and store of Enos Leek. The building in the upper right is said to have been a store, but is not otherwise identified. The building in the lower left was originally part of a large hall that stood just west of the mill. It was used for town meetings, dances, etc. before being cut in two. The sections were then moved across the street and made into homes. In the lower right is a view of the grist mill as it looked in 1928. Click here for a larger version that will open in a new window.
