Another of the early homes in Spring Mills was this simple Greek Revival residence built on Lot 28, Block 3. The 1872 Atlas of Oakland County, Michigan, shows it owned by A. (Archibald) Waterbury. Later that same year, however, it was purchased by Peter Kunkel, seen below, who brought his wife and children to Spring Mills from the Province of Posen, Germany.
