After the Keller and Waterbury store burned in 1912, William Needham, Sr. (owner of the Domestic Pickle Works), purchased the site on the northeast corner of Centre Street (Milford Road) and Livingston Roads.  Here, in 1913, he built the Needham Building, which housed a general store run by his son Charles E. Needham.   The photo below shows the building as it looked in the late 1930's-early 1940's, after ownership passed to Clayton Rourke.
